Classes We Race
Seven championship classes from Kid Kart to Shifter. The club runs sealed Briggs LO206 as its flagship engine platform — cheap to run, hard to cheat, rewards smooth driving. Bigger engines (KA100, Shifter) run alongside for the folks who want more.
-
Kid Kart
BeginnerOur smallest class and the entry point for brand-new young racers. Low speed, high fun, tons of coaching from the paddock.
-
LO206 Cadet
First real club championship class for kids graduating out of Kid Kart. Briggs LO206 is sealed, affordable, and rewards consistency.
-
LO206 Junior
Same motor as Cadet with longer runs and a deeper field. Where most of our juniors spend their teen years before stepping up.
-
LO206 Senior
The grown-up LO206 class and our deepest field year after year. Tight racing, small deltas, big egos.
-
LO206 Masters
LO206 for veterans. Same motor rules as Senior — separate championship so the 20-year-olds and the 50-year-olds each get their own trophy.
-
KA100 Senior
A step up in power and noise. 2-stroke engine, clutch start, the class you run when LO206 feels too tame.
-
Shifter
FastestGearbox karts, hand-clutch starts, full-tilt laps. Our fastest class. If you don't already know, this isn't where you start.
Not sure where you (or your kid) fit?
Start on the New to Karting page, or come to a race day and ask anyone in the paddock — we'll point you at the right class.
